Had a great #PlayDate today with @icaboston! We made 195 kaleidoscopes with curious minds and taught how to see the world differently, together. Today's @icaboston #playdate workshop was so much fun! We had over 200 curious minds come through the #ICAArtLab to weave with upcycled materials and explore pattern-making. Swipe left to check out participant weavings and photocopies of weavings. The photocopies were hung to create a colorful & satisfyingly busy community tapestry, which grew through the day! Maximalism in the making! More inspiration for our Pattern Play workshop tomorrow at the @ICAboston. We're mesmerized by @PollyApfelbaum 's "Small Townsville" and its concentric patterning, playful biomorphic shapes, and curious colors. Tomorrow we'll be leading a weaving workshop with borrowed ideas found in the museum's exhibition, 'Less is a Bore: Maximalist Art & Design'. Join us and play with color patterns, material repetition, and different weaving patterns using reclaimed materials. + + + Sat, Jul 27, 10 AM – 4 PM.
